Two Days of Siddha Yoga Study and Practice for Young People (ages 13-30)

Young people (ages 13-30) are invited to engage in the Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, meditation, seva, darshan, and dakshina. The focus of study will be Gurumayi's Message for 2024. There will be time for reflection, journaling, hatha yoga, and discussion. Participants will also have opportunities to share their understanding and experience of receiving Gurumayi's Message with each other.

Please bring the following items:

  • a journal and pen or pencil

  • your meditation cushion or asana

This event is for young people ages 13 to 30. The focus of this day will be the Siddha Yoga practice of seva, selfless service.

Throughout the day you will engage in the Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, and seva. To support your practices, there will be time for reflection, journaling, movement, and discussion. You will also have opportunities to share with each other about your understanding and experience of a teaching from Gurumayi on the spiritual practice of seva.

Please bring the following items:

  • a journal and pen or pencil

  • your meditation cushion or asana

There is no fee for this event. Registration is required. You may wish to purchase a Lunch with your registration. Lunch is also available for purchase in Amrit Cafe on the day of the event.

Introduction to Siddha Yoga Meditation for Young People

Meditation is one of the core spiritual practices on the Siddha Yoga path. Meditation brings out the joyful and positive qualities of the mind, and it makes the mind strong. Siddha Yoga meditation also puts you in touch with the very core of who you are.

This special event for Young People ages 13-30 will be led by a Siddha Yoga meditation teacher who will guide you in exploring the practice of Siddha Yoga meditation. In this event, especially designed for those new to meditation, you will be guided through each aspect of Siddha Yoga meditation, including posture, breath, and mantra.

Whether you are learning about meditation for the first time or you have an existing meditation practice, this introductory event will help you establish or strengthen your regular meditation practice.
