Scriptural Tradition

The Siddha Yoga tradition draws many of its teachings from the Indian yogic texts of Vedanta and Kashmir Shaivism, the Bhagavad Gita, and the poet-saints.

These texts describe the highest possible state of human awareness and how to live continuously in this state. Many of these yogic scriptures are accounts of people who have experienced the inner realms and remain immersed in the state of self-realization. Their words give us a context for our experiences that unfold after shaktipat. They provide a map for our journey, illumining where we have come from, and reminding us of our true destination.
