Accommodations

Accommodations at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland are available when space permits for Siddha Yogis who are participating in retreats and other learning and teaching events at the ashram.

Accommodations in the ashram include men's and women's dormitory-style rooms and one family room. A few spaces in double rooms and some single rooms may also be available. Unmarried couples are housed in separate rooms. Our family room, when available, is for parents with at least one child 14 years of age or younger and can include children up to the age of 20. Family rates and rooms are for primary family members, i.e., parents and children. Please do not leave children unattended at any time.

Accommodations include three vegetarian meals per day. One set of linen per bed is available for the duration of the visit.

Short-term guests are welcome to stay up to seven nights. Longer stays require an application. Contact the Resident Administrator at (510) 898-2700 ext 8830 or sevac@syaoakland.org to receive the application. Long-term residency rates are available on request.

Reserving Accommodations
Please register in advance. If we are unable to accommodate your requested dates due to lack of space, we will notify you. Drop in accommodations are not available.

You may register online, by fax, by mail, by phone, in person or direct drop off.

To register by phone, please call (510) 898-2703. If you get the recorded message, leave your number and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Request for accommodations will be responded to within 2 business days. To register by fax, you must include a Mastercard or Visa number with the signature of the credit card holder and the expiration date on your registration form. The form may be faxed to (510) 898-2799. If you mail your registration, please do so early enough to allow time for delivery and processing. You may place your registration form and full payment into the Registration drop slot anytime the ashram is open.

All payments must be tendered in U.S. currency. Money orders, cashier's checks, personal checks, Mastercard, and Visa are accepted methods of payment. Payment for reservations made by credit card are charged in full to the credit card account at the time the registration form is received. ATM cards with EXPLORER, Maestro, and INTERLINK symbols are also accepted at the Registration desk.

Checking In
After booking your prepaid reservation with Oakland Registration, please plan your travel so you arrive at the Siddha Yoga Ashram before the ashram closes for the day. The ashram closes at 8:00 pm (Monday-Friday), 9:30 pm (Saturday), and 2:00 pm (Sunday).
